GOVERNANCE OF AZEEMI MODEL SCHOOL

Azeemi Model School’s management style is democratic, participative and two-way process oriented. The overriding objective is to create an effective work team which would decide upon policies and procedures.

The structure of AMS allows the members of the school community to continually expand capabilities, participate in decision making processes at different levels, clarify vision and improve their organization’s immediate environment.

Building shared vision, encouraging personal mastery and creating leadership that facilitates the growth process are central to our organizational processes.

SCHOOL MANAGING COMMITTEE (SMC)

Azeemi Model School (AMS) is governed by a School Managing Committee (SMC). SMC is responsible for the development of the School, its policies, recruitment, financial budget and monitoring of school progress. SMC meets on quarterly basis for the improvement of school.

School Managing Committee Team consists of:

  1. Managing Director (Chairperson of the Committee)
  2. Director Academics (Member)
  3. Consultant (Member)
  4. Principal (Member)
  5. Educationist* (Member)
  6. Educationist* (Member)
  7. Parent’s Representative* (Member)
  8. Parent’s Representative* (Member)
  9. Any one appointed by any of the Director.

An effort is made to select at least one member from the faculty of Hazara University, Mansehra (serving or retired). MD, Director, Consultant and Principal are the members of SMC by default, while rest of the members are selected by the mutual consent of both the directors for a duration of 2 years.

SCHOOL CORE COMMITTEE (SCC)

The school core committee governs, guides, decides and implements policies made by SMC and over sees day-to-day running of the school. It is an officially constituted body approved by the Board of Directors. MD, Principal and Vice Principal are permanent members of SCC.

The School Core Committee supervises the activity of the school for its smooth functioning. It also acts as a bridge between the Society, Managing committee and the School. This is also a training ground for leadership, current and future. Thus, every year two members from the teaching staff are selected to sit in the committee as observers of the process and from this one is nominated for the committee. Nominated staff has one year tenure to participate in all processes governing the school management on day to day basis.
