Dear Parents/Guardians,
I would like to welcome you and your child to Azeemi Model School (AMS).
I’m sure your child will have an enjoyable and successful time here. All our staff work hard as a team to make sure that everyone is happy and achieving well. AMS is really a characterful and exciting place to be. Children, families and staff bring a wide range of experiences, traditions and beliefs to the school. This rich mix gives us many opportunities for celebration and learning.
Alongside the many activities taking place all the time, our main priorities this year will be:-
- To excel in all subjects by matching exactly the right level of work and challenge to each child and providing support to children not making as much progress as they could.
- To exhibit quality of teaching and learning throughout the school so that every child is as involved and motivated as possible, and that every classroom provides an exciting and encouraging learning environment.
- To look at ways of measuring progress and increasing skills in the wider integrated curriculum.
- We know from our most recent survey that parents are interested in finding out more about what their children are learning and how to help them at home. We hope to offer more information, workshops and family learning opportunities this year.
This will keep us, and we hope you too, busy and we have a great team here to achieve this. But most of all we know that the most important key to your child’s progress is the quality of the links between home and school. We believe this is essential in promoting success in school and in life, so we want to work closely with you.
I hope you will find out lots about our school community from this prospectus. If you would like to know more, or to visit, you are very welcome to call in or phone us on 0997-302593. I look forward to meeting you.
Azeemi Model School has an Inspection and Quality Assurance (IQA) Section. The framework of school inspection ascribes special significance to the rigour and quality of school self-review and subsequent school improvement planning. The Inspection and Quality Assurance Department aims to provide high level evaluation to ensure high quality education for all students in The Azeemi Model School.
Inspection Team conduct an in-depth study of the activities that take place in the schools before making their assessments. The main focus of inspection is on student engagement, progress and achievement; quality teaching and curriculum implementation; a safe and caring environment; support and governance provided by Higher Management, and the role of the Head as an instructional leader. The assessment of a school is based on a variety of telling evidences that are collected by observing the lessons, examining the school environment and available resources, talking to students and teachers and analysing the relevant documents.
Parents, being the third and complementary side of the triangle of learning, are also consulted and spoken with, to ascertain their expectations of the school. All information collected is recorded, analysed and compiled into a School Inspection Report. The first draft of the report is sent to the School Head who confirms that the facts mentioned in the report are correct. After confirmation of the report, copies are forwarded to Higher Management, who in turn are expected to initiate follow-up action for maintaining their areas of strength and overcoming any inadequacies mentioned in the reports.
Azeemi Model School’s management style is democratic, participative and two-way process oriented. The overriding objective is to create an effective work team which would decide upon policies and procedures.
The structure of AMS allows the members of the school community to continually expand capabilities, participate in decision making processes at different levels, clarify vision and improve their organization’s immediate environment.
Building shared vision, encouraging personal mastery and creating leadership that facilitates the growth process are central to our organizational processes.

Passionate, knowledgeable and skillful teachers are the core strength of our school system. We expect our faculty and staff to provide a dynamic and rewarding learning experience for students. Excellent teaching begins with strong relationships between faculty and students and is nurtured by collaboration among colleagues.
We are committed to supporting a professional community that creates and sustains an atmosphere of intellectual excitement, innovative instruction and personal growth.
Respect:
We are committed to acknowledging and celebrating the diversity within our community while affirming the importance of our common humanity. By promoting a safe environment for questioning and challenge, we foster the growth and value that comes from different perspectives, cultures and experiences. Our commitment is to create an atmosphere of safety in which to acknowledge and express difference while advancing true acceptance and respect for all.

We are committed to identifying and eliminating barriers to educational achievement in our schools. To this end, we create policies and practices that are fair and just and provide educational opportunities to ensure that every student, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, or economic status, meets our standards for achievement, participation and growth.

Continuous Improvement:
Our school provides an environment which promotes critical thinking, creativity, hard work and an ability to communicate effectively. We emphasize high expectations for all students, and support them to reach their full potential through continuous improvement.
At Azeemi Model School (AMS), we believe that every child matters. We also believe, it is vitally important to provide a broad, balanced and sparkling curriculum which will equip our children to be lifelong learners in the 21st century. We want to raise attainment and foster the pleasure of discovering and the joy of learning. We know our children achieve best when they are motivated, excited and supported. Our planned curriculum fosters discovery and creativity enabling children to explore their own ideas as well as using investigative skills to learn more about the world in which we live. In order to promote deeper learning and confidence in applying skills across subject areas, we have formed strong and relevant curriculum links and allow time for teachers and children to explore these to the full.
Education at AMS is not confined to the four walls of the school, instead education is formally and systematically provided with a broad view of curriculum. Education imparted in formal schools is only a part of the whole and process is influenced by the religious, social and traditional background of the society. Therefore, care of this background is a shared responsibility between home and school. Working with parents, families and community is considered an essential element of teaching at AMS. It is our desire that children leaving our school lead life according to the Islamic values of liberty, equality and fraternity.
Beyond the classroom children can take part in a range of activities. They can also learn how to swim, learn to play a musical instrument, experience a residential activity, take part in a variety of educational visits and enjoy a selection of after school clubs.
We are committed to providing the best quality learning experiences we can for all our children regardless of gender, race or religion.
